MIR Summer Program

STUDENTS OF ALL AGES DISCOVER, CREATE, AND EXPLORE IN THE MIR SUMMER PROGRAM

TODDLER PROGRAM
Toddlers never stop going about the business of exploring, learning, and absorbing new information from their environment. The MIR Summer Program provides the Montessori classroom program with activities suited to summer. Students will participate in gardening, water play, and outdoor fun suited to their age. Toddlers also get to take what for many is their first "big kid" field trip to the San Bernardino County Museum, which has plenty of areas for even the smallest children to explore. Read the 2011 flyer to learn about our program.

PRIMARY PROGRAM
Primary-age students (2 1/2 to 6 years) seem like they never stop moving, and the summer program provides plenty of activities in addition to the Montessori classroom program. Students will participate in cooking, gardening, sporting activities, and in-depth studies of subjects such as dinosaurs and art. Field trips provide plenty of opportunities for exploration in the wider world as well as fun activities at which to expend all that energy. Full-day Primary students have the opportunity to take swimming lessons, making it easier on families who then don't have to sign up for lessons separately. Read the 2011 flyer to learn about our program.

The Toddler and Primary programs are open to continuing students and to new students registered for the 2012–2013 school year. Registration will take place in spring of 2012.

ELEMENTARY SUMMER PROGRAM
The MIR Summer Program gives your child an opportunity to discover new skills and talents, explore interests more deeply, and create works of art and science in several classes. Most of all, kids will have fun!

The Elementary Summer Program offers classes to suit a whole range of interests. Past classes have ranged from woodworking and creating your own board games to science and circus or tumbling. Classes are taught by Montessori teachers and assistants as well as guest teachers. View the 2011 class catalog to learn more.
